Screen Type
Fiberglass Mesh (18×14)
The traditional choice for patio and pool enclosures, 18 × 14 fiberglass mesh screening from Phifer is designed for applications where extra strength is needed. It is built to withstand debris from harsh winds and storms, helps keep out most insects and unwanted pests, and still allows cooling breezes to flow through. This makes it an excellent option for areas exposed to more severe elements.
No-See-Um Screen (20×20)
Also known as no-see-ums screen, this tightly woven 20 × 20 fiberglass mesh is designed to keep out smaller flying insects such as gnats, sand flies, and no-see-ums, commonly found in marshy or coastal areas. While densely woven, it still allows good ventilation and visibility and provides some daytime privacy. Phifer fiberglass screening is made from durable glass yarn coated with protective vinyl for long-lasting color, flexibility, and performance. It is noncombustible and will not rust, corrode, or stain.
Pet Screen
Pet screen is a heavy-duty option that is four times thicker than standard 18 × 14 mesh. It is ideal for homes with pets or rodent concerns due to its added strength and durability. It is designed to resist tears, scratches, and damage from lawn equipment, making it a long-lasting solution for high-traffic or high-impact areas.
Phifer Glas-Shield
Phifer Glas-Shield is an 18 × 14 fiberglass mesh that has been vinyl laminated. It is commonly installed in lower enclosure panels (chair rail and below) to help keep dirt and debris out of pool enclosures. It can also function as a privacy screen in vertical applications. Please note that it is not intended for roofing or horizontal use.
